This section gathers my photographic galleries created for the “Lab di Cult” — the thematic labs promoted by FIAF (the Italian Federation of Photographic Associations). These Labs are held under the guidance of the FIAF Cultural Department. Each year, they offer a unique opportunity to explore a common theme with both creative freedom and personal expression. Taking part in them has allowed me to connect with fellow photographers and experiment with new ideas. In addition, it has deepened the relationship between photography and the sharing of artistic experience. Each edition of the Lab di Cult is a chance to challenge your creativity in a collaborative setting, where every participant is free to interpret the theme according to their own vision and style.

How the “Lab di Cult” Thematic Labs Work…

Joining a “Lab di Cult” is a journey rooted in personal motivation and creative independence. Once you’ve decided to take part and contacted the Coordinator, you are free to approach and develop the theme in your own way. This individual path is then enriched by group discussions and feedback. During the meetings hosted by the participating photo clubs, everyone shares and discusses their works — even drafts — offering comments, ideas, and suggestions. These moments of exchange provide valuable insights. As a result, they can help you refine your work and broaden your perspective.
The lab concludes with a collective exhibition at some of the most important national photography festivals — a rewarding opportunity to present your work to a broader audience and see it come to life in a professional and inspiring environment.

…It seems clear that the Lab di Cult is a creative space filled with freedom — one that values relationships among photographers learning to share both their limitations and their brilliance.

If you’d like to know more about these thematic labs and how they work, I invite you to visit the website of the FIAF Cultural Department, which organizes and promotes these initiatives.
Besides browsing through my galleries, I also encourage you to explore the work produced by the Tuscan Labs participants — featured on the Slow-Watching website and coordinated by Marco Fantechi. It’s a great way to dive deeper into other perspectives and photographic journeys.

My Images

Below you’ll find the galleries showcasing the photographs I created for each Lab I took part in. Each gallery reflects the specific theme proposed that year. It offers a visual journey through my creative process, shaped by the annual theme and my personal interpretation. As with all my photographic work, my goal is to tell a story through the lens — to convey emotions and offer a distinct point of view.

So here’s to the images — enjoy the view, and enjoy the journey!
